Anna- I love your words. We all must acknowledge what God's thoughts are right now-in real time about this man. The world would be shocked and sadly many Christians would be shocked if we all looked into God's heart today to see what God thinks of Him. God still loves Him! His kindness cannot depart from Him, by the way, By what Jesus did on the Cross for the world, Michael is still the Righteousness of God, His sins are forgiven and best of all God still believes in Him and does not condem Him. If we say we are children of God why not follow in Gods footsteps? He is not only our Heavenly father, He is our example! Why not comfort people who miss it, why not give grace to those who do not deserve it, why not grant mercy to the needy? That is what God does I choose to do the same. Better Still God is faithful to His word "He said our sins and lawless deeds He remembers no more (Heb 8). Why? because he remembered them on Jesus! That is the Goodness of God in practicality! Lets fisrt believe this for ourselves and then follow in the footsteps of our father. What you see God as is what your experience will be. If you see Him as your healer then your experience will be in line with that, If you see Him as your deliver that is what you will experience from Him, If you see God for who He truly is - Love, gracious, merciful, kind and caring that is what you will experience from Him. It does not start with what God can do, He has done all that you can ever need to be done, it starts with you seeing what He has already done for you! -"He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness" He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places, He is a good God, very very good..

@ Simon. No question we can follow a story to far. But in this case, it was not the story of Michael that got me excited, but the faithfulness of God. To me the story was not about Michael but about God. That is why the song is still ok with me, although I will not use more discernment when and where I lead it.

But I do agree that sometimes these stories can be hyped a little to much and the story and or song can become almost an idol.

the Bible says that "the gifts are without repentance". Maybe we are too quick to promote the sensational stories when perhaps we don't need them.

I honestly believe that his problem was not a mistake being brought out to the worlds attention. Yes it has hurt people like his family and friends and those he leaded but this is an awesome oppurtunity to take this hurt or whatever your feeling from this to get closer to God. I also believe that this situation being spotted out is God showing his people that this man has a weakness, and since we are Gods children he needs r help, he needs us to be there. Im not trying to make the boo boo all better r sugar coat this matter but you know as Christians its time we stand up and help those in need instead of putting them down, everyone falls short of the Glory of God everyone sins, but what is important is we get up and fight, and also know who God is and who we serve. We serve a mighty God who will never leave us nor forsake regardless of the sin we may commit. God forgives if we ask for repentance and he also forgets meaning he doesnt remember our mistakes! So for those who read this please dont judge, just pray for Gods will in his life and in your life! Thanks
God Bless

Thanks for the quick response. I noticed on the web page that you have a link to that the article is dated with today's date 08/21/2008. I don't think you could have found out and told us any faster.

It's a good song even if the story that has been linked with it is false.
