Seth Godin has a great new book out called Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us. If you have ever read any of Seth’s stuff, you know he is a great writer with killer ideas. I am a couple pages shy of finishing and have loved the book. I have an extra copy, so I thought I would share the love.
Tribes Overview
Seth descries a tribe as any group of people gathered together with a shared interest. There are millions of tribes in the world. The biggest question is, who is going to lead them?
It is quick and easy to read, but will motivate you to get up and lead those around you. This is not just a book for CEOs of large companies. Whether you lead a 10,000 person congregation, or you are leading the children in your house, you can benefit from this book.

This sounds very interesting, and I’d love to check it out. As a leader at my MOPS group, a Homeroom Parent at my daughter’s school, as the mother of two little girls, and the leader of a couple of other groups I think I could really benefit from this. Then I could pass it along.

Sounds like a great book. The subject of leadership is so important in these days. With all that is going on around us, it seems that we need to be doing all that we can to help and guide people. I think of Hebrews 12:11-15. I know it carries the tone of discipline, but is this not leadership and discipleship? If people are crying out to be taught and to be led, then we best be equipped and know what and how to do it.
