Is it Wrong to Covet a Bible?
I have been waiting for this day for a while.
Today I saw my very first ESV Study Bible. Unfortunately it is not mine. My friend who was more excited than I was went to the local Christian Bookstore and sucked up until they let him buy it the day before the actual release date (Tomorrow, Oct 16.)
I am a HUGE fan of the ESV translation, and now they have released this translation with study notes written by some incredibly smart people who love God.
Go check out all that the ESV Study Bible has in it at their site.
I can’t really justify spending the money on it right now because I have more Bibles than I can shake a stick at, but it is #1 on the Christmas list!!

My question…
How do you go about ‘switching’ bibles. I assume you have a bible you have been using for a while with all kinds of personal notes. Do you shelve it and start using the new one or do you continue to use it as your primary and just use the new bible as a supplement? Just curious how you handle(d) it.
A long time ago I realized that sometimes my knowledge of the bible was due more to where it was located in my bible than actually the knowing the scriptures on the heart level. Since then, I do not have 1 bible that I use. I use tons of different bibles. Of course there are some that have more markings in them than others, and there are bibles that are on the shelf that represent different stages/places in life.
But currently I use online bibles exclusively, at least for devotions and study. Now instead of my notes being in the bible, I find them in my journal, which is online as well (evernote.com)
Hope that helps
That was a quick response. Is Jordan not keeping you busy enough?
