Three Signs from Texarkana

We have been in Texarkana, TX for the last few days for Thanksgiving. We are having a great time with family. I thought you would enjoy some of the signs I have seen since we have been here.

Apparently Texarkana is not a safe haven for hookers and druggies.

There is no tolerance for thieves.

And the people pray for the country.

These signs are all over the city.  I just hope that the people are concerned with all that 2 Chronicles 7:14 mentions.  While the power of prayer should never be underestimated, it can be a religious practice without any power if we at the same time do not seek God’s face, turn from our wicked ways, open our hearts to hear from him.  But then again, I am not sure so many people would put the signs in their yard if the sign said,  “America, your only hope is if while you are praying you turn from your wicked ways, seek my face and hear from me.”

Where are you going for Thanksgiving?
