We Become What We Worship – Preview

I just started reading G.K. Beale’s, We Become What We Worship: A Biblical Theology of Idolatry.  It is not going to be an easy read, it is very academic, but I love his thesis.

What people revere, they resemble, either for ruin or restoration.

I can’t wait to read his arguments and then compare them to our current culture and society.

Here’s to adding yet another book to the “need to finish”pile.

What books are you reading?

  1. The Case for Civility…I really should read one of Bob’s…..been meaning to…..

  2. I just finished “The Shack” and I’m starting “It’s Not About Me” (what a shock this is going to be!) by Max Lucado and of course “The Bible” by God.

  3. Same Kind of Different As Me. . .-Now, if I could find time to sit and read.

  4. Books? Textbooks bought at TCC Bookstore are all I have at the moment and I just finished the semester. I am not cracking another book for 3 weeks!
