Live From NorthWood

Over the last year, our incredible Audio Engineer Heath Rosborough has been tracking our band during the normal Sunday morning Services. I knew he recorded us some but never really thought that much about it.

About a month ago, he came and showed me some of the recordings he has done. I was blown away. I am so proud of our band and proud of him for the sounds he is getting.

The best part is there are no fixes, no overdubs, just mixing what we capture….. this is what you get at NorthWood Church on Sunday morning. We have an INCREDIBLE team. Check it out!

Feet That Move – Keeps Moving

So, it is kind of crazy how the whole music thing works. We released the NorthWood Worship Record “Feet that Move” (iTunes, Amazon) last October. These songs have become a part of NorthWood. But the fun part is that the songs are now being used all over the place.

I am constantly getting calls, emails and tweets about other Churches doing the songs. CCLITV just added the video of Feet That Move on their site. And probably the most exciting thing yet…. KSBJ, the largest Christian radio station in Houston, TX just added the song “Feet That Move” to their Sunday morning program. It is the most listened to radio show in all of Houston on Sunday morning. To say I am excited is an understatement.

Our goal and desire for this project was to spread songs that encourage the Church. I am thankful the Lord is answering our prayers.

Making this album has been one of the biggest acts of faith I have ever faced. The last 6-10 months of my life has been trusting that God would provide every step of the way. From writing songs, to studio recordings, to an incredible live recording, God proved himself faithful over and over again.

Live Recording This Week!

This week is a big week for NorthWood Church. Our live recording is on Saturday night!

We have been working on this record for months. The studio tracks are done and now it is time to capture it live! We can’t wait! If you are close to the DFW area, we would LOVE to have you drop in this Saturday night @ NorthWood Church at 7pm. Here are the details.

A look Into The Studio

This summer has been the summer of recording! We are slowly winding down on the studio tracks and ramping up for the live recording of NorthWood Church’s first worship record. The record will be 10 orignal studio tracks and a handful of live tracks. The live recording will be at NorthWood Church Sept 18.

So here is a look into the studio.

We are pumped to let you hear the record. It will all be released in October!

Announcement: Recording A CD!

NorthWood Church is putting out a CD and we begin recording today!

Over the last few months, I have been frantically writing songs. With the help of the incredible Michael Farren from Pocket Full of Rocks and a couple other writers from Nashville, we have written 10 original songs that we believe are the heart beat of NorthWood Church.

Starting today, we are going to be recording all 10 of these songs in the studio.

Sept 18th, we are going to have a live recording at NorthWood.

October 24th, we are going to be releasing the CD with both studio and live tracks on it!

God has been all over this project from day one. I cannot wait to see what he has in store!

Please pray for us. This is a huge undertaking and we are not strong enough on our own to do it. God is our only hope!

Free Song: The Great Exchange

Last year I wrote a song based on 2 Corinthians 5:16-21. We did it a couple of weeks ago at NorthWood and thought you might like to have it. The crux of the song is that Jesus gave us new life, but he also gave us ministry of reconciliation as well.

Here is the Mp3 straight from the board (it is not perfect) and a chord chart. This is a recording from one of the first times we did it. We now have shortened the bridge, and do not do the pre-chous after the bridge. Those changes are notated on the chart.
